Olveston & Tockington Methodist Church was formed in 2004 through the union of the two village congregations. We continue to worship across four historic buildings: in Olveston—the Chapel (1820) and its adjoining Hall (1937); and in Tockington—the Chapel (1897) and the Wesley Rooms on the Green.

Guided by the mission, “We seek to worship God, make new disciples for Jesus Christ, and reflect his teaching in the community,” our Sunday worship is held at 10 a.m., rotating between Olveston and Tockington Chapels. Occasionally, special services are held at 6 p.m. in either location.

Our venues have been thoughtfully modernised to offer flexible seating, excellent acoustics, and technology support. Tockington Chapel seats up to 60 and includes a disabled-access toilet and kitchenette. Olveston Chapel, seating up to 80, benefits from shared kitchen and toilet facilities via the adjacent Hall. Both the Hall and Wesley Rooms are well-equipped for community use, with kitchens, accessible facilities, and adaptable spaces for informal gatherings, talks, and classes.

Community life here thrives through regular social activities: bi-monthly Saturday coffee mornings at Olveston Hall, a Friday coffee gathering in Tockington (first Friday of each month), cream teas on Bank Holiday Mondays, and our annual Harvest Fayre on the Green in Tockington. In partnership with St. Mary’s, our pastoral care extends to those who are unwell through visits, plants, and “Get Well” messages.
