Yate Methodist Church is an inclusive, welcoming community located just off the main road that runs through Yate. We are registered with the Inclusive Church Network and have the Eco Church Bronze Award. At our heart is working with families from around the area and we have thriving Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Brigade groups and are currently looking at re-establishing our work with toddlers and their significant adults. Worship happens each Sunday at 1030am with two less formal ‘all-age’ services each month on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, and Communion on the 3rd Sunday.

Hello, my name is Leigh and I’m the Minister (or Presbyter/Vicar/Priest) here at Yate, Salem, Winterbourne and Badminton Road Methodist Churches.
My involvement with the life of the Methodist Church began when I joined The Boys’ Brigade aged 9 and has continued since then with increasing involvement, leading to me moving to the area in 2019 to begin ordained ministry.
My real passion in ministry is connecting the church with the local community which has led me to ministry both within the Methodist Church and the British Army.
I really believe that the church should be a welcoming and inclusive place where all feel welcome and are able to share in the grace of God which is given to the world through Jesus.
A place where through our words and actions, in the breaking of bread and the sharing of God’s word, people can come to know more about the God who loves us and wants us to love them.
