Salem Methodist Church is one of the oldest Methodist chapels in continuous use in the Circuit, boasting the fact that John Wesley preached from its foundation stone in 1787. The church remains at the heart of the village of Watley’s End and works hard to engage with those living around it. Each month there are a range of events to reach out to the community including coffee mornings, bacon butty mornings (plus toasted tea cakes), film afternoons and much more. Whilst the chapel has been around for a long time, the congregation continue to look for new ways to engage.
