Over sixty vulnerable families in Bristol received shopping vouchers this Christmas, thanks to the generosity of churches across the circuit and a generous donation from the historic Strangers Friend Society, a charity linked to John Wesley himself.
Each year, Parkway Methodist Church in inner-city Bristol coordinates this scheme, working with local agencies to identify families who will benefit most from these gifts. This year, the effort was made even more special by Calm Create Community, based at Victoria Methodist Bristol, who hand-crafted cards to accompany the vouchers, adding a personal and heartfelt touch.
Members at Parkway Methodist BS2 would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone who supported the appeal. Together, the churches and local volunteers helped bring a little extra joy and hope to families across the city this Christmas.
