On Sunday 19 July, members from across the Circuit and beyond gathered at Knowle Methodist Church to give thanks for the ministry of Revd Sally Spencer as she concluded her time with us. It was a joyful and moving service, filled with worship, prayer, hymns, Scripture, and heartfelt words of appreciation for Sally’s faithful ministry.

The service provided an opportunity for people from our churches to come together to celebrate all that Sally has shared with the Circuit over the years. Through her pastoral care, leadership, encouragement, and commitment to the life of our churches and communities, Sally has touched the lives of many people. As Chair of the Circuit Social Justice Group, she also championed justice, compassion, and inclusion, encouraging churches across the Circuit to put faith into action and engage with issues affecting their local communities. It was fitting that so many gathered to express their gratitude and to thank her for her years of dedicated service.

During the service, prayers were offered for Sally as she begins this next chapter of her journey, together with words of blessing and commissioning as she was sent on with the love and prayers of the Circuit.

Following the service, everyone enjoyed refreshments and fellowship together, sharing memories and wishing Sally every blessing and happiness for the future.

We thank Sally for all she has given to the Circuit, her churches, and the wider community. We pray that God will continue to guide, strengthen, and bless her in the new opportunities that lie ahead, and we wish her every joy in this next stage of her ministry and life.
