This past Saturday, our Circuit came together for Catalyst ’25, a day of inspiration, learning, and connection with Trey Hall, Director of Evangelism and Growth from the Methodist Connexional Team.
It was a truly uplifting and practical event, full of shared stories, reflections, and encouragement. Participants explored what draws people to church today, how we can offer meaningful community, and how to make our churches welcoming and open to all.
Group discussions allowed everyone to share experiences and hear examples of successful ministry and mission. We also explored the Growth Planning Cycle — Listen, Dream, Choose, Act — a helpful framework for guiding outreach and renewal.
Key themes from the day included:
- Soul needs: true friendship, authenticity, healing, and hope
- Social change and open theology
- Clear and flexible paths of practice
- Celebrating the gifts of Methodism: grace, justice-seeking faith, small groups, church without walls, and recognising leaders all around us
We are deeply grateful to all the churches whose members joined us, to those who helped with refreshments and lunch, and to Badminton Road Methodist Church for hosting. Special thanks to Revd. Sharon and the Circuit staff for bringing everyone together.
Catalyst ’25 has inspired us to continue welcoming, connecting, and growing together as a Circuit, sharing faith, hope, and love in our communities.
