We are delighted to share that our first Circuit Assembly was a wonderful success! More than 150 people from across our churches gathered for a truly inspiring, joyful, and faith-filled day of worship, fellowship, learning, and celebration.

From the moment people arrived, there was a real sense of warmth, welcome, and God’s presence among us. Together we shared uplifting worship, powerful personal testimonies, encouraging news from our churches, engaging workshops, laughter, prayer, and meaningful conversations across generations.

Our Assembly theme, inspired by Psalm 34:8 — “Taste and see that the Lord is good” — was experienced throughout the day in so many ways. We did not simply speak about God’s goodness; we experienced it together in worship, friendship, service, and shared faith.

The day was filled with inspiring stories of perseverance, hope, healing, and God’s faithfulness at work in people’s lives and across our Circuit. These testimonies reminded us that the Church is alive, growing, serving, and continuing to reflect Christ’s love in our communities.

A delicious lunch brought everyone together around shared tables, where fellowship, laughter, and conversation continued. These ordinary moments became extraordinary reminders of the joy of belonging to God’s family.

Our children’s activities were a huge success! The creative sessions were so fun and engaging that even some adults wanted to join in. One particularly special activity saw the children creating colourful face masks, which they then generously gifted to every participant — a beautiful expression of creativity, kindness, and community spirit.

As a thoughtful thank you, every guest also received a goody bag to take home, adding another touch of appreciation and celebration to this memorable day.

This Assembly was a beautiful expression of our Methodist connectional church — stronger together as we share God’s love, encourage one another in discipleship, and serve our communities.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended, contributed, volunteered, and helped make the Assembly such a special occasion. Special thanks and heartfelt appreciation go to Martin and Naomi, whose dedication, care, and hard work were instrumental in organising the event so wonderfully.

Another wonderful highlight of the day was the generosity shown through the Circuit Assembly offering in support of Turnaround Bristol. We are delighted to share that an amazing £624.90 was raised for the charity. This generous gift is a powerful reflection of our commitment to serving and supporting our wider community.
